2025 Summer Internship Program at the CHU Sainte-Justine

Program Description

The Summer Internship Program is for CEGEP or undergraduate students who wish to gain hands-on research experience in a clinical, fundamental or translational research laboratory.

This program offers students the opportunity to be part of one of the 210 research teams at the Azrieli Research Centre at CHU Sainte-Justine. It is also an opportunity to live at the pace of graduate students, to interact with scientists and to participate in the advancement of multidisciplinary research projects within the centre's six axes.

Internship Duration

The suggested duration is 8 to 16 weeks, with a maximum of 35 hours per week.

Funding

Funding will be awarded based on the type of internship:

• Internship as part of the degree: weekly scholarship of a recommended amount of $550 per week for a full-time internship (35 hrs/week);

• Internship outside of school curriculum: salary between $15.75/h and $18.27/h, or between $6,615 and $7,673 gross for a 12-week full-time internship (35 hrs/week).

Those selected could be invited to apply for summer internship scholarships to contribute to this funding.

Transportation and accommodation

The internship program does not cover transportation or accommodation costs incurred by interns. However, selected interns can contact the Université de Montréal Residences or Summer Hostel for information; the Off-Campus Housing Service to view available housing offers; and the International Students Office website, which also suggests research avenues.
