The Pedro Pita Barros Award is promoted by the Portuguese Association of Health Economics (APES) and sponsored by the National Association of Pharmacies (ANF) and aims to promote research in Health Economics by young researchers.

The prize is awarded every two years. The prize of € 3,500 will be awarded to the best scientific paper in Health Economics published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
