Welcome

On behalf of the Canadian Weed Science Society/ Société Canadienne de Malherbologie and the Canadian Society of Agronomy/ Société Canadienne d’Agronomie, we wish to welcome you to our joint 2022 Annual General Meeting to be held at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel located at 1919 Upper Water St, Halifax NS, B3J 3J5, on the waterfront from November 14th to 18^th, 2022.

Halifax was founded in 1749 and is the largest city and economic hub of Atlantic Canada. Halifax is home to the oldest farmer’s market in North America, the Alexander Keith’s brewery and the Halifax Public Gardens, a National Historic site established in 1867. Stanfield International Airport located north of Halifax provides flight connections to a variety of locations across Canada, the United States and several European cities.

The conference organizers have developed an exciting program including: a plenary session, “Precision crop and pest management: from promise to ALMOST reality”; a symposium “Developing Sustainable Biomass Management in Canada: Climate Change Resilience and Advancing the Bioeconomy”; graduate student presentations; concurrent oral and poster presentation sessions on weed management and agronomy; and two workshops with one on statistical analyses.

Biomass Symposium Registration: $325 + HST (Registration for participants ONLY attending the BMC Symposium on November 14, 2022. CWSS/CSA full conference registrations include the Biomass Symposium)
Graduate Student Member Registration: $325 + HST
CWSS Member- Full Registration**: $650 + HST (** $150.00 membership fee will be added at registration)
CSA Member- Full Registration: $650 + HST
CSA Non-Member: $750 + HST
Retired CWSS-SCM Members: Free
Single-day Registration: $325 + HST
Grower Day (Nov 18th): $25 + HST
Additional Banquet Tickets: $100 +HST

** Option available for Canadian Government Employees to have GST exempt
