Excursion: Campbell Folk School, Brasstown NC
Arranged and Facilitated by Kelley Totten. Sponsored by the Folk Arts and Material Culture Section. Kelley Totten has been going to the Folk School since 2003 where she has been a student, host, researcher, and archives consultant. She just completed the new exhibits for the refurbished Log Cabin Museum, which included a Community Field School. She is currently working on a book about the school’s multiple histories and its adaptations of the Danish folk school ideas. Cost - $100 per person.Cost includes lunch at the Folk School and a bagged supper for the bus and transportation to and from the conference hotel. Register for the excursion.
