10-04 RE-storying folklore and expanding our futures

Nowadays, our professional opportunities seem to have narrowed, but this is a narrative that needs re-storying. This forum brings together folklorists to explore and define how, when, why, and for whom we can apply our talents, skills, and experience. We will introduce our understanding of our skills and how we have found ways to meaningfully apply them AND GET PAID. Together we will articulate the value we bring to working in any setting. We will interrogate the values underlying our field: where they originated, when they were established, what they stipulate, what limits they impose, and whether they still apply?
