10-05 Folklore and Climate: Working Cross Sector

The Bayou Culture Collaborative connects those interested in the human dimension of land loss, transmitting culture in a time of disruption, and impacts of climate migrations. Monthly online gatherings, working groups, and workshops provide a means for people from diverse backgrounds to explore ways to ensure culture is included in environmental planning. Workshops are offered to give cultural strategies to help both originating and receiving communities. Maintaining cultures is critical because it provides connections and provides a sense of well-being in times of distress.
