Meeting Details

The HiRO Annual Symposium brings together the Canadian community of cardiogenetics specialists, researchers, patients, families and industry partners, with a goal to improve the care of families with inherited heart disease. Learn more and see details of past meetings here.

The 2025, the HiRO Symposium will take place June 13-14th, 2025, in Québec City, Québec. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Dan Roden as our keynote speaker. The theme of this year's meeting is "Personalized Medicine: Normalizing life".

Venue

On Friday June 13th, the meeting will take place at the Auberge Saint-Antoine Hotel. The reception dinner will take place aboard a St. Lawrence River cruise, hosted by Croisières AML. On Saturday, June 14th, the morning session and patient forum will also be held onsite at the Auberge Saint-Antoine Hotel.

We're pleased to share sessions on Friday, June 13th and Saturday, June 14th, which will be live-streamed online. To access this content, please register as a "virtual-only" attendee from the registration page (no cost). You will then have live access to the virtual sessions directly from the "meeting agenda" page. You can register at any time prior to 12:00 pm EST on Thursday, June 5th, 2025.

**Pre-Symposium Research Meeting *Update**

Please note that the Pre-Symposium Research Meeting originally scheduled for Thursday, June 12, 2025, has been postponed. In light of travel schedules and to better accommodate incoming attendees, the research meeting will now be held virtually in Fall 2025 (date to be announced).

Please note that we only have a limited number of rooms available at the discounted rate, and these will be filled at a first-come, first-served basis. Once the block is full, alternative arrangements will need to be made, so we encourage you to book early!

Travel Scholarships * CLOSED *

Thanks to generous donations to the HiRO Karen Gibbs Bursary Fund, we are able to offer a limited number of travel scholarships for allied health, research coordinators and/or trainees who don't otherwise have institutional funding available to attend the meeting. Applications for the travel scholarships are now closed. Thank you to all those who submitted an application.
