2026 Asia-Pacific Solar Research Conference

Kambri Precinct of the Australian National University
December 1-3, 2026

Welcome!

The 2026 APSRC will be held in the Kambri Precinct at the Australian National University in Canberra.

The APSRC is run by the Australian PV Institute and provides a regional forum for communicating research outcomes covering all aspects of solar and grid integration research: PV devices, deployment & integration, solar heating & cooling as well as concentrating solar thermal and solar fuels and chemistry. With the theme of information, communication and integration, the conference provides a great opportunity for young researchers and professionals to share knowledge and network with the region’s leading innovators from industry and research institutions.

The conference also provides a unique opportunity to combine the annual research reviews of Australia’s key solar and grid integration research groups, representing researchers from around the region.

Academic Streams

The Conference is arranged into four streams where presenters can submit peer-reviewed Extended Abstracts. More detail on each of the Streams is available here.

  1. Photovoltaic Devices

  2. Renewable Energy Deployment & Integration

  3. Solar Buildings and Solar Heating & Cooling

  4. Concentrating Solar Thermal & Process Heat and Chemistry

Industry Workshops

Once again there will be a series of Industry Workshops that have more of an industry focus, and where speakers are invited. Details of the Industry Workshops can be accessed here.

  1. PV forecasting and Firm Power Management

  2. PV recycling/Circular economy

  3. PV manufacturing

  4. Renewable heat for manufacturing, mining, and fuels

  5. Photovoltaic thermal (PVT)

  6. High comfort, low carbon lighting

Poster Session & networking events will also be incorporated, covering all the research topics above, and will provide an opportunity for solar researchers in the Region to meet and exchange ideas. Posters will be on display at dedicated sessions during the conference.

2nd Annual APSRC Open-Source Energy System Modelling Workshop

11:30am-3:30pm, Mon 30 Nov 2026
This interactive workshop will combine presentations, demonstrations, tutorials, and open discussion on topics relevant to the open-source energy modelling community. More information is available here.
