2021 IRIC Student Recruitment Event

Welcome

Dear participants,

We are pleased to welcome you to this Virtual IRIC - Université de Montréal 2021 Student Recruitment Event.

Over the next few days, you will have the opportunity to meet and discuss with IRIC’s Principal Investigators and students in order to discover the Institute as well as its research units, laboratories and scientific platforms.

The situation that we live in is unique and we had to adapt the event schedule and the nature of the activities the best we could. In this particular context, we wish to thank you for the patience and understanding that you all showed. Event though you won’t get the full IRIC and Université de Montréal experience, we sincerely hope you enjoy this virtual recruitment event and make the most of it to get a sense of the many opportunities IRIC has to offer.

We wish you a pleasant, fruitful and rewarding week and we hope to meet you in person soon! Stay safe!

Objectives of the event

The IRIC Student Recruitment Event offers students the opportunity to meet with the Principal Investigators and students during networking activities, to learn about the various study programs offered and to participate in two days of one-on-one interviews with the researchers in order to identify potential research directors and projects for your master or doctoral studies.

Following the event, certain participants will receive a recruitment offer from one or several Investigators. Those offers will be valid from Fall 2021 to Fall 2022.

Organizing committee

The Office of Academic Affairs (OAA) is committed each day to supporting students in the development of their academic and professional path by ensuring personalized supervision. It also works on creating various activities allowing students to be open to career opportunities in life sciences.

The OAA also works closely with the IRIC Students' Association, who represents the interests of Master’s and Ph.D. students, interns and postdoctoral fellows with the Institute’s official bodies. Several of its members helped make this event as warm and friendly as possible!
