Conference Visa Facilitation and Participation Policy
This event is designed primarily as an onsite conference, and we strongly encourage in-person participation to support the depth of engagement, collaboration, and scholarly exchange that the program intends to foster.
We understand, however, that colleagues from India and other countries may have specific concerns regarding visa applications for travel to Pakistan, including apprehensions about scrutiny during the process. To address this, we wish to state clearly that LUMS will actively support and facilitate visa applications for all invited international participants, including those traveling from India.
Our team will provide:
Official letters of invitation
Direct coordination with relevant authorities to support timely processing
Guidance on required documentation and procedural steps
Administrative support throughout the application period
We recognize that despite these measures, some scholars may still prefer not to apply for a visa. To ensure broad access and inclusive participation, the conference will also provide high-quality online participation options for those who opt not to travel.
Whether attending onsite or online, all participants will be able to contribute fully to the academic program. Our priority is to ensure that colleagues can engage in ways that align with their comfort, safety considerations, and institutional constraints while reaffirming that the conference’s core design and preferred mode of engagement remains in person at LUMS.
