AgeTech Discovery Day

Welcome to the AGE-WELL AgeTech Discovery Day in Manitoba website

The Centre on Aging, University of Manitoba is excited to be a participating site for AGE-WELL AgeTech Discovery Day, taking place on October 1, 2026 1:30-4:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Winnipeg South (1330 Pembina Hwy), to mark International Day of Older Persons and National Seniors Day in Canada. This new initiative will feature technology awareness events in nine locations across seven provinces, as well as a national virtual session, focused on AgeTech innovations that support aging in place and healthy aging.

This free event will help older adults and caregivers discover practical technologies that can enhance independence, health and quality of life. Each session in this in-person (only) event will include hands-on demos, research talks and interactive discussions about getting involved in research and innovation.

Funding from the CIHR Institute of Aging (CIHR-IA) AGE-WELL AgeTech Discovery Day and Research Manitoba is gratefully acknowledged. Older adults and caregivers are key partners in this initiative, helping ensure it reflects their priorities and lived experiences.
