Opening Ceremony | Ministerial Dialogue
The 7th AgriVoltaics World Conference opens with a high-level ministerial session presenting agrivoltaics as an integrated answer to the twin goals of food security and the energy transition. Ministers and senior officials from India, Germany and partner countries of the International Solar Alliance will set out their shared priorities and the Government of India's commitment to scaling agrivoltaics under PM-KUSUM 2.0. A ministerial dialogue follows, built around three pillars: national policy and institutional pathways, international and South-South cooperation, and collective action towards India's renewable energy targets under Viksit Bharat 2047. The ceremony also includes a showcase of agrivoltaics practice from Indian farms and the launch of new digital tools and knowledge reports on agrivoltaics.

India’s Agrivoltaics Vision under PM-KUSUM 2.0
PM-KUSUM has become a cornerstone of India's decentralised renewable energy strategy for solarising agriculture and opening new income streams for farmers. This high-level policy dialogue looks at how agrivoltaics can be built into PM-KUSUM as a complementary approach that produces food and clean energy on the same land. Senior policymakers from Indian ministries, development banks and international partners will discuss lessons from PM-KUSUM and early pilots, new business models, financing and tariff frameworks, and better coordination between ministries and states. The aim is a shared view of how agrivoltaics can be standardised, replicated and scaled across India.

Empowering Farmers through Collectives: Role of Cooperatives, FPOs, and Women-SHGs in Scaling Agrivoltaics in India
This open discussion puts farmers at the centre. Farmers, women's self-help groups, cooperatives and farmer producer organisations from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Rajasthan and beyond will share first-hand what it has taken to invest in agrivoltaics. They will cover how they made decisions and set up ownership, how they financed their systems, what changed in crops and yields, how they handle operations and maintenance, and what it has meant for their incomes. Moderated by IWMI and CSTEP, the session looks at how farmer collectives can lower risk, improve access to finance and support inclusive, farmer-led models. It aims to lay the foundation for a platform that advances farmer-centric agrivoltaics in India's smallholder context.

South-South Cooperation in Agrivoltaics
Global agrivoltaics capacity now exceeds 18 GW. The Global South is the next frontier and faces its own challenges: young policy frameworks, limited access to capital, and very diverse crops and climates. Co-hosted by the International Solar Alliance and GIZ, this high-level session brings together public sector leaders from Brazil, Bangladesh, Uganda, Rwanda and Africa with technology experts from Germany and India. They will exchange evidence on crop selection across climate zones, innovative implementation models, policy and incentive frameworks, and the case for a unified definition and standard for agrivoltaics. The session will launch ISA's Global Agrivoltaic Compendium and discuss a joint intention towards common standards for the Global South.
