Evaluate the scientific quality, methodological rigour, and clinical applicability of current AI research across the spectrum from foundational methods to deployed health systems applications, in order to make evidence-informed decisions about adopting, endorsing, or rejecting AI tools in their professional contexts.
Apply ethical, equity, and governance frameworks to assess and mitigate risks such as algorithmic bias, health disparities, and threats to patient safety when evaluating AI-based systems in clinical or research environments.
Discuss evidence-based strategies for maintaining clinical judgment, professional autonomy, and patient-centred care in the context of increasing AI integration, including awareness of automation bias and AI-induced deskilling as documented risks.
