Conference Theme
The theme of Congress 2025 is “Reframing Togetherness.” This milestone Congress—the first ever to be hosted by a college—challenges all attendees to model togetherness by questioning traditional knowledge hierarchies and collaborating on fundamental- and applied-research solutions for humanity's historically rooted problems.
Types of Proposals
We are interested in receiving proposals for:
Single papers
Panels (three or four presenters speaking on a single topic or closely related issues)
Roundtables (a facilitated discussion among a small group on a particular topic)
Art-based presentations (e.g., documentaries, short films, poems, songs, posters, maps, stories)
We particularly encourage submissions from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC); Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Unisexual, Intersex, Asexual and Additional people (LGBTQUIA+); and disability communities.
Submission Process
Proposals may be submitted in English or French via the submission form.
Proposals are due December 20, 2024.
Topics
Proposals may focus on any of the following topics:
Advocacy or social movements
Civil society
Collaborations, partnerships, or mergers
Community economic development or community organizing
Community-university partnerships
Co-operatives or credit unions
Digital transformation, including artificial intelligence
Equity, diversity, inclusion, justice
Evaluation, outcome measurement
Finance, governance, accountability, standards
Green social economy or climate action
Knowledge transfer or mobilization
Management or leadership
Nonprofits or voluntary organizations
Philanthropy, fundraising, charitable giving
Public policy or government relations
Reconciling, decolonizing, or Indigenizing nonprofits and the social economy
Research or teaching methods
Social economy, social enterprises, social entrepreneurship, or social innovation
Sustainable or regenerative economies
Volunteering or civic engagement
Review Process & Confirmation of Intent to Present
You will be notified whether your proposal is accepted by January 30, 2025.
If your proposal is accepted, you will be expected to register for both Congress and the ANSER conference by March 30, 2025.
