About the Event

Join us in Halifax, December 7-10, 2026, for ArcticNet’s Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM2026)—the largest northern and Arctic science conference in North America.

This gathering brings together researchers, students, Indigenous knowledge holders, and policymakers to share high-quality science, explore diverse perspectives, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. Highlights include vibrant networking opportunities, engaging scientific sessions, and cultural and artistic programming.

The meeting provides a space for exchanging knowledge, connecting researchers and communities, and fostering collaboration to tackle today’s Arctic challenges.

More than a conference, the ASM2026 is a hub for learning and inspiration—offering participants the chance to forge new connections, reconnect with colleagues, and contribute to a shared understanding of the North.

*Registration will open on August 3rd.

Registration Fee Transparency

Registration fees primarily cover the direct costs of organizing the event, including venue rental, meals, technical equipment, and support for speakers’ participation. We strive to keep these costs as accessible as possible while ensuring a high-quality experience. These fees do not cover ArcticNet’s operating costs, such as travel expenses and employee salaries.

Event Code of Conduct

Your registration for or attendance at any ArcticNet event or online event indicates your agreement to abide by this policy and its terms.

We’d like to gently remind presenters of the importance of sharing and discussing research results with communities involved before presenting them at the conference. We also encourage you to highlight the “so what” of your research and acknowledge how and with whom your project was developed. These actions can build trust and strengthen reciprocity in northern research.
