Hello and welcome to the 76th Annual Atlantic Universities Geoscience Conference (AUGC). The Bailey Geological Society and the Geological Engineering Society are excited to host you at the University of New Brunswick Fredericton campus from October 22 to October 25, 2026.
The AUGC is the oldest geology conference in Canada, with the exception of the annual meetings of the Geological Association of Canada. Every year, a student society from one of the Atlantic universities hosts the AUGC and provides undergraduate students the opportunity to present their current work, learn about local geology, meet members of the Atlantic geoscience community, and make connections that will last a lifetime.

Your Accommodations Have Been Reserved for YOU!
To make your conference experience as convenient as possible, we've reserved a block of rooms at the Crowne Plaza Fredericton-Lord Beaverbrook Hotel, putting you just steps away from all conference events and activities.
We've secured an exclusive discounted rate for AUGC participants, but this special pricing is only available for a limited time!
Book by September 20, 2026, to guarantee your room and lock in the discounted rate. Once the reservation deadline passes, rooms and pricing are no longer guaranteed, and the hotel may sell out.
You are also welcome to reserve your rooms by calling the Front Desk directly at 1-506-455-3371, or by emailing reservations@cpfredericton.com and noting you're booking under the “Atlantic Universities Geoscience Conference” room block to secure the group rate.
ONLY 13 standard 2-bed rooms are blocked off and are recommended for students. These double rooms can fit up to 4 people for an extra cost of 10$ per extra person (above double occupancy) per night.
There is one wheelchair accessible room blocked off with one queen bed. Please do not book this room if you do not require the accessible entrance.
There are 5 king bed rooms recommended for professors, judges, guest speakers and industry professionals.
