Elevate your impact at the Bethune Round Table by sharing your research through abstract submission for oral or poster presentation, while young surgeons, residents and medical students seize the chance to attend and contribute to advancing surgical equity in low-resource settings through our Travel and Scholarship program.

Here are the guidelines: Abstract Submission Deadline April 30, 2024.

  • Abstracts should be written in English
  • The top 40 Abstracts will be published in the Canadian Journal of Surgery.
  • Abstracts should not be more than 250 words in total.
  • The contents of the Abstract should include the following: Title of the Abstract (Maximum of 25 words), Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion and Keywords (Maximum 225 words).
  • The author that submits the Abstract is assumed to be the presenting author.
  • The author that submits the Abstract should specify the format that he/she wants to present: Oral presentation or Poster presentation.
  • The presenting author must register and present the Abstract.
  • The abstract should focus on one of the following themes: Guidelines, Trauma Education, Digitization, Collaboration, or Violence, although other relevant surgical topics are welcome.
