BioGENext Conference 2026: Laying the ground for world-class biomedical research in Ukraine

Kyiv, Ukraine
October 6-9, 2026

WELCOME

The BioGENext conference 2026 is dedicated to advancing the field of next-generation therapies development. The event brings together researchers, educators, biotech companies, and industry experts to exchange knowledge and join forces to establish a strong biomedical research ecosystem in Ukraine.

The second BioGENext Conference will take place on October 6-9, 2026, in Kyiv, Ukraine. While the event will be held in a hybrid format, we strongly encourage in-person attendance as networking is a primary goal. The program features leading international and Ukrainian speakers from academia and industry and focuses on key areas shaping modern medicine, including nucleic acid therapeutics, recombinant proteins, gene editing technologies, advanced cell therapy, computational biology and AI, molecular diagnostics, and other translational research.

Abstracts submitted by participants will undergo review by the Scientific Committee and will be published in the international peer-reviewed journal "Biopolymers and Cell." Top abstract authors will have the opportunity to present orally during the main program or in a flash talk session.

The BioGENext is an initiative created by scientists and for scientists.

Our mission

We firmly believe that high-quality science and the ability to translate its results into innovative products or technologies are the key to the future development of Ukraine. Pharmaceutical biotechnology should be among the priority fields as it defines the society’s ability to resist global health challenges, as massive as pandemics and as unique as orphan diseases.

Conference Aims

1. Strengthen Biomedical Research Community. Foster deeper collaboration among Ukrainian and international researchers, biotech innovators, educators, and policymakers to build a sustainable biomedical research ecosystem in Ukraine.

2. Showcase Ukrainian Research Globally. Provide a platform for Ukrainian scientists to present impactful research and engage with international collaborators and partners.

3. Empower the Next Generation of Scientists. Support early-career researchers through educational sessions, workshops, and mentorship programs focused on emerging technologies in biomedicine and biotechnology.

4. Enhance Translational Research. Strengthen partnerships between academia and industry and promote the development of technology transfer models that enable the transition of scientific discoveries from the laboratory to therapeutic applications.

5. Shape Ukraine’s Biotechnology Strategy. Promote dialogue between academia, industry, and government to define strategic priorities for the development of the biomedical and biopharmaceutical sectors in Ukraine.
