Welcome to the 12th Annual Canadian Conference on Epigenetics!

The Canadian Epigenetics, Environment and Health Research Consortium (CEEHRC) is pleased to host the 12th Canadian Conference on Epigenetics from October 6 to 9, 2026. The meeting will take place at the Hotel Mont Gabriel in the Laurentians, just 50 minutes from Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and 1 hour from downtown Montreal. This conference is intended to bring together a critical mass of epigenetics researchers, along with key international leaders in the field, to engage in cross-disciplinary dialogue on recent advancements in the field of epigenomics.

This year, we will welcome 200 national and international epigenetics researchers to share their research and to engage in dialogue on the current state of epigenetics research. Our scientific program includes distinguished invited speakers in the fields of epigenetics and epigenomics covering topics including epigenomic measurements at both the bulk and single cell level, mechanisms of epigenetic regulation, chromatin organization and epigenetic dysfunction in disease. These topics will be covered over multiple sessions that include keynote and plenary lectures and 2 poster sessions. We encourage interaction and networking between epigenetic researchers across career stages while providing a respectful environment that stimulates scientific debate and catalyzes new collaborations.

CEEHRC Pre-Symposium on Epigenetic Inheritance

The CEEHRC Pre-Symposium will bring together world leaders for an interactive day focused on how environmental exposures may influence biology across generations. Drawing on examples from model systems and human cohorts, the program will examine potential mechanisms while asking some of the field’s central questions: Which epigenetic signals can escape reprogramming? How can model systems inform human studies? And how can we move from association toward causality? The day will also highlight emerging tools such as genetic models, epigenome editing, long-read sequencing, computational analyses, and intergenerational cohort studies. Through presentations, trainee talks, lunch roundtables, and a closing panel discussion on the mechanisms, myths, and mysteries of epigenetic inheritance, the symposium will provide a forum to assess current evidence, challenge assumptions, and identify priorities for future research.

Special Opportunity for Trainees!
Trainee participation costs for the pre-meeting are fully covered for a limited number of individuals and REQUIRES APPLICATION (DEADLINE: August 7, 2026). Paid registration to the CEEHRC meeting is still mandatory.
