CELJ 2026 Virtual Conference
Collaboration and Community: A 2026 CELJ Virtual Conference
October 1-23, 2026
The Council of Editors of Learned Journals is pleased to host its second annual conference to expand the knowledge-sharing CELJ provides through its listserv, mentoring workshops, and Modern Language Association convention sessions.
For the Program, please see the Program page.
This year, the conference will be a virtual month-long event on collaboration and community—topics CELJ has been discussing in depth for the last few years. We have planned several sessions to run over the course of the month, including several Birds of a Feather (BOAF) sessions, moderated by CELJ members who have expertise on the topic, who want to share a few tips or ideas, and who are present to moderate an open conversation with attendees on the listed topic. There are also several conversations happening around the CELJ community and its related projects, hosted by CELJ board members. Please check out the program page for more information and the schedule.
To register, please see the Registration page.
All sessions are free for CELJ members who register for the conference. Non-members are welcome to register for the month-long event for a one-time $25 registration fee. For students or those who need no-questions-asked financial assistance, please contact Cheryl E. Ball at celj.editors@gmail.com for a discount registration code prior to registering.
All sessions take place on Zoom with Closed Captioning in English and will be recorded (for CELJ member-access only). All registrants will receive an email with the Zoom links for each event one day prior to each session. This email will arrive from celj.editors@gmail.com.
If you have additional accessibility needs, please contact Cheryl E. Ball at celj.editors@gmail.com in advance of the conference.
