Too often, we show up polished but not present, performative but not connected. In this Lunch Plenary, Ateba Whitaker presents The Waldo Effect: No Longer Hidden—a call to authenticity in teaching as the foundation of sustained pedagogical excellence. Understanding that excellence is not perfection, we sustain it when we recognize that our greatest power is authenticity. No one else carries the same message, because no one else carries the same story. The task is to take what we have learned from the sessions and shape it into a framework that reflects who we are as educators—no longer hidden but authentically visible in the classroom.
