2027 Conference on Higher Education Pedagogy

Welcome to the 19^th annual Conference on Higher Education Pedagogy

CHEP will take place on February 3-5, 2027 at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center in Blacksburg, Virginia.

We invite educators, researchers, instructional designers, academic leaders, and other higher education professionals to share innovative practices, research, and ideas that advance teaching and learning.

Each year, CHEP welcomes more than 400 faculty members and instructors committed to teaching excellence. As a regional hub for educators dedicated to improving their teaching practice, CHEP offers opportunities to:

• Build community in the teaching and learning space

• Connect with colleagues who are asking the same questions in the college classroom

• Access meaningful faculty development opportunities

• Share innovative practices, research, and ideas that advance higher education

The conference showcases leading pedagogical practices and research in higher education. Sessions explore disciplinary and interdisciplinary instructional strategies, learning outcomes, and emerging research. Ultimately, CHEP provides an opportunity to demonstrate effective instructional practice and disseminate the latest research aimed at improving the quality of higher education.

Call for Proposals

The call for proposals will open on July 31 and close on September 14.

Registration

Registration will open in October 2026.
