Leading Where We Are: Exercising Influence and Impact in Constrained Systems

Canada’s children’s health system leaders are no longer navigating short-term disruption; they are leading within the system that disruption has produced. Fiscal restraint, workforce pressures, public mistrust, and ongoing structural reform have become enduring features of the landscape.

This one-day Leadership Summit will bring together senior leaders from children’s hospitals, hospital foundations, academic pediatrics, and child health research organizations to explore how leadership can be exercised with clarity, integrity, and collective purpose in today’s constrained environment.

Through keynote dialogue, expert sessions, and facilitated peer exchange, participants will:

• Examine the leadership challenges and opportunities created by volatility and rapid change.

• Share strategies to sustain trust, resilience, and impact amid fiscal pressures and system disruption.

• Strengthen the collective capacity of child and youth health leaders to shape transformation agendas.
