Welcome to the CNET 2026: 26th National Congress on Transposable Elements
We are delighted to welcome you to Genopolys in Montpellier from July 6th to 8th, 2026. As the number of seats will be limited to 90 people and the event is likely to generate a lot of interest, we hope that everyone who wishes to participate will be able to do so. Regarding accommodation in university housing, there are only 40 places, so it is first come, first served. So please register at the earliest opportunity.

The 26th Annual Meeting of the French research community on transposable elements and repetitive sequences will be held in Montpellier from July 6 to 8, 2026.
This event will bring together students and researchers working on repetitive sequences in genomes, around themes covering population and comparative genomics, molecular and cellular mechanisms, ecology, evolution, as well as genomic and bioinformatic approaches.
This network, which brings together nearly fifty research teams across the country and affiliated with major French research institutions (CNRS, Inserm, INRAE, Institut Pasteur, Institut Curie, IRD, CIRAD, universities, etc.), provides a unique framework to stimulate exchanges and collaborations, thanks to the diversity of model organisms studied, experimental approaches, and biological questions addressed.
