COPL 2026 Annual Conference

Welcome to the website for signing up for the 37th Annual Conference of our strategic cluster!

On June 1, the vibrant photonics research and innovation community, that revolves around COPL, is invited to gather and discuss the latest developments in scientific research under the theme: Connected Networks, Photonics in Motion.

This annual gathering serves as a premier platform to share the latest advances in your research and news from the sector, while stimulating discussion on emerging trends and opportunities for collaboration.

This tradition, aimed at strengthening the provincial ecosystem through engaging initiatives, took root alongside the expansion of innovations in the field that have had—and continue to have—a significant impact on the evolution of our society. In fact, the science of light and its innovative cross-cutting technologies prove every day that they are helping to shape a strong and engaging future for our industry and our organizations. From telecommunications to quantum sciences, health and biomedicine, aerospace, defense and security, agriculture, and the environment; photonics technologies are now ubiquitous across many sectors.

For this 37th edition, we encourage our members—spread across eight university campuses and two CEGEPs throughout the province—to meet at Université Laval to take part in our signature event. We promise to offer a rich and inspiring program designed to foster mutual intellectual enrichment and the development of promising projects that will showcase your research and its impact on the world.

Did you know? Photonics North will take place from June 2 to 5, 2026, at the Québec City Convention Centre. As a key stakeholder, COPL’s contributions to the event’s success are integrated into the program, and COPL is a Gold Partner of the event.
