Meet and Greet Networking and Cultural Event at Hurley’s Irish Pub, 1225 Crescent St, on the evening of Tuesday, May 9th at 19h00-21h00. You may also be able to pick up your conference badge at the door upon arrival. Snacks will be available plus one complimentary drink ticket.

Registration will open at 08h00 on Wednesday, May 10th, 08h30 on Thursday, May 11th and Friday, May 12th, 2023, at the Amar entrance - next to the JGH Block Amphitheatre, located on the 1st floor of the Jewish General Hospital, 3755 Côte-Ste-Catherine Road, Montreal, Quebec H3T 1E2.

There will be no cash payments on-site.

Banquet Awards Presentation Dinner on Friday, May 12th, 2023 at 19h00-23h00, at the Montreal Bonaventure Hotel, 900 rue De la Gauchetière O, Montreal, QC.

Conference program: We will be paperless as much as possible and there will be no printed copies of the program available on—site at the conference. Please use the pdf copy of the program.

Presentation Instructions for Oral/Posters

Overview of the session: All oral presentations will take place in the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) Block Amphitheatre B-106 located on the 1st floor of the JGH, 3755 Côte-Ste-Catherine Road, Montreal, Quebec H3T 1E2. The Opening Remarks - Welcome will take place on Wednesday, May 10th at 08h45 and will be followed by the Premysl Ponka Keynote Lecture 1.

All Oral presentation sessions will start at 9h00 on Wednesday, and 08h45 on Thursday and Friday.

Schedule for Trainee Oral Presentation Symposia:

Symposium 1: Wednesday, May 10th, 13h00-14h00,

Symposium 2: Thursday, May 11th, 14h15-15h15,

Symposium 3: within Session 6 on Thursday, May 11th, 15h55-16h25.

All 15 trainee oral presentations will be evaluated for three presentation awards.

All Poster sessions will take place in the Amar Main Entrance - next to the JGH Block Amphitheatre. They are scheduled on Wednesday, May 10th at 17h00-18h45 and Thursday, May 11th at 16h55-18h45. All trainee posters will be evaluated for three awards.

Oral Presentations are allotted 20 minutes in duration for Speakers and 10 minutes in duration for Trainees. Please leave 2-3 minutes within your time slot for discussion. Keynotes speakers are allotted 60 minutes including questions. Presentations should include computer-based audiovisual aids, using PowerPoint presentation software.

Oral presentations can be presented using a MAC/PC computer and LCD Projector.

The connection is HDMI. For laptops that do not have an HDMI connection, speakers need to bring their own HDMI adapter.

Speakers are responsible for making sure their laptops function properly. Please bring a backup copy of your presentation on a USB drive in case of technical issues.

Speakers should mention if there are videos embedded in their PPTs, and on which slides.

Please send a copy of your presentation by Monday May 8th, 2023 at noon, by e-mail to Felipe Argaez at AV-MedPhoto (fargaez@jgh.mcgill.ca; medphoto@jgh.mcgill.ca) in order to load the presentations on the conference computer before the start of the conference. Alternatively, please bring a copy of your presentation on a USB drive the day before your scheduled talk.

The conference program is full, and it is important to keep everything running on time.

Poster Presentations are divided into two sessions - one session per day (sessions listed below). Authors are requested to put up their posters during the morning of their specific poster session (or the night before, as soon as the boards are ready).

Poster session 1 - Wednesday, May 10th (17h00-18h45). For poster numbers 1 to 24, you may put up your poster(s) on the morning of Wednesday, May 10th (08:30-12h00).

Poster session 2 - Thursday May 11th (16h45-18h30). For poster numbers 25 to 48, you may put up your poster(s) on the morning of Thursday, May 11th (08:30-12h00).

Presenters are requested to stand by their posters during this designated poster session time to answer questions and be evaluated by the Poster evaluating committee.

Poster sessions will be held in the Amar Entrance - next to the JGH Block Amphitheatre B-106.

Please remove your poster at the latest by 12:00 on Friday, May 12th.

Posters can be fixed with push pins provided by the Conference Coordinator (Gabriella Di Pancrazio) and will be available in the Poster Session area and at the Registration Desk. Should you wish to use Male-Velcro, please bring your own supply.

Please note that the poster format must be 4 feet high (from top to bottom) and 4-6 feet wide (from side to side) to fit the poster boards. One poster will fit on each side of the poster boards (4 feet high by 8 feet wide).

Poster dimensions are limited to 4' x 6'. Each poster should include a heading with title and author(s) using lettering at least 25 mm (1") high. The abstract should be part of the poster presentation with printing legible at a distance of 1 meter. Therefore, lettering should be heavy and at least 10 mm (3/8") high.
