Guidance on accommodations during the conference in Ottawa

Participants are responsible for booking their own accommodations. Below we provide some information and suggestions for finding accommodations.

For students

All participants with a student status who appear as a presenter on the conference program as of May 25th, 2026 and who must travel to Ottawa for the conference are eligible for a $250 accommodation grant (individuals residing in the greater Ottawa area are not eligible). Information for your grant will be collected during your conference registration. The accommodation grant will cover the equivalent of 3 nights of shared accommodation at the uOttawa residence. See below for accommodation details and the discount code.

For non-students

Participants are responsible for booking their own accommodations. There are other events taking place in Ottawa the same week as the conference, so accommodations will be limited. We strongly encourage participants to book a hotel ASAP.

Participants employed by a Canadian university may be able to access CAUBO preferential rates offered by several Ottawa hotels to member institutions (see list here: https://www.caubo.ca/fr/discover-caubo/our-members/university-members/). Faculty and academic staff can create an account here to access a list of eligible hotels: https://www.caubo.ca/sign-up/#squelch-taas-accordion-shortcode-content-FacultyStaff. We encourage you to use your code and book early, because there are other events in Ottawa the week of May 25-28.
