Acknowledgement of Traditional Land

Halifax is in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. The people of the Mi’kmaw Nation have lived on this territory for millennia, and we acknowledge them as the past, present and future caretakers of this land.

Reconnaissance du territoire traditionnel

Halifax se situe à Mi'kma'ki, le territoire ancestral et non cédé du peuple Mi'kmaq. Le peuple de la Nation Mi'kmaq vit sur ce territoire depuis des millénaires, et nous le reconnaissons comme le gardien, hier, aujourd'hui et demain, de cette terre. Historiquement, la reconnaissance territoriale est une pratique traditionnelle partagée par les groupes autochtones afin de reconnaître le territoire autochtone qu'ils visitent. Aujourd'hui, la reconnaissance territoriale demeure une façon d'exprimer sa gratitude envers les peuples autochtones, gardiens de la terre sur laquelle nous vivons et travaillons.

Head over to the registration form on our registration page and complete the online form. Select your ticket type, provide the required information, and submit payment to secure your spot. We plan to open registration on Nov 2, 2027
