Sponsorship & Exhibitor Registration
Welcome to our annual SCM-CSM UAlberta Conference! We would be pleased to have you join our annual conference as a sponsor or exhibitor. Sponsors are generous contributors who make the CSM conference possible. Depending on the level of sponsorship, contributors should expect maximum exposure and visibility in our program on our international website and through the delegates bag inserts. Sponsors also have the opportunity to hold a half hour workshop, sponsor a specific session, a coffee break, or keynote lecture. We look forward to working with each of our sponsors to ensure that they receive an exceptional value commensurate with their generous level of support. Please note that sponsors do not have to pay GST/HST. Exhibitors not only make a generous contribution to the conference, but also provide essential information and resources for our participants through exhibits and/or workshops. Exhibits and poster sessions are planned for 2 days on Wednesday, June 17 & Thursday, June 18, 2026. For our exhibitors, we have arranged the locations of events to maximize contact with the conference attendees. Please note that exhibitors will need to pay GST/HST on all fees.

You will receive a confirmation email once the CSM-SCM has received your registration. Early shipments will be received and stored between June X - Y, 2026 (TBD)
Exhibit Location: University of Alberta Education Gym
Exhibit Setup: Tuesday, June 16: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM (will be assisted by a CSM2026 volunteer)
Exhibit Dismantle: TBD (will be assisted by a CSM2026 volunteer)
Exhibits Dates & Times: Wednesday, June 17 and Thursday, June 18 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Electric outlets:
Exhibitors were instructed to identify their electric requirements on the exhibit reservation form. Please advise us if your equipment requires a high voltage usage, arrangements will need to be made with the LOC for extra fees. One electric plug will be provided per spot. Each spot will have access to enough power for a laptop or equivalent electronic device. Please bring a 10’ extension cord since outlets may not be directly adjacent to your spot.

Summary of Support Levels and Benefits
University of Alberta will host the 75th Annual Conference of the Canadian Society of Microbiologists (CSM) from June 16 to 19, 2026. We have planned an outstanding scientific and professional development program and to date we have over 500 registrants from Canada, the United States, and overseas, including faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduate researchers. This dynamic research forum represents a valuable opportunity to showcase your company, products, or services to a broad audience of scientists who have interests encompassing applied and environmental microbiology, infection and immunity, and molecular genetics and cellular microbiology. We hope that your company will consider participating in this international event.
Outlined below are the various ways in which you can participate in the CSM 2026 Edmonton Conference. Awards Support
The Canadian Society of Microbiologists is looking to expand its awards programs in the coming year. We would like to work with your company to create new awards that match your company’s priorities and CSM’s mission. The awards are an important part of CSM’s mandate to promote research and education in Canada, as well as recognizing the accomplishments of Canadian microbiologists. Candidly, an award in a company’s name is one of the most substantial ways to increase company name recognition among our members; these awards are listed on CVs of our members for the rest of their careers.

Exhibitors
Exhibitors not only make a generous contribution to the conference, but also provide essential information and resources for our participants. Exhibits and poster sessions are planned for 2 days on June 17 & 18, 2026. To maximize interaction with conference attendees, exhibitor tables will be located in the Education Gymnasium, where poster sessions and refreshment breaks will also take place. In addition, attendees will participate in a “passport” program that encourages them to visit vendor tables for a chance to win prizes. Exhibitors are encouraged to participate with door prizes for the draw. Please contact Valeria Tsviklist and advise her of what you are planning to bring for the door prizes.

Exhibitors who are interested in purchasing two tables or organizing a workshop in addition to the table will pay an additional $1,000 for the second table or the workshop.
Delegate Bag Inserts:
Market your company by providing a maximum of 4 page flyer to include in the delegate bags. If interested please access the Registration page and choose “Delegate Bag Advertising Inserts” $750 + GST under the Sponsorship registration section. You will be advised a month before the conference of the number of flyers you need to provide. Your company will be considered a Bronze Sponsor.
