3rd Scientific Meeting of the Canadian Translational Geroscience Network
Welcome
Building on the success of previous meetings, this year’s conference will continue to highlight advances in biomedical geroscience, alongside emerging applications in clinical practice and health policy. The program will emphasize a translational perspective, bridging discoveries from fundamental aging biology to real-world implementation across healthcare and community settings.
A central objective of the meeting is to foster critical dialogue around validated and emerging tools, interventions, and strategies aimed at extending healthspan and improving quality of life for older adults. Discussions will span multiple dimensions of aging—including biological mechanisms, clinical innovation, and social and environmental determinants—reflecting the complexity of aging processes and interventions.
New this year, the conference will spotlight innovative and forward-looking directions in translational geroscience, including advances spanning immune aging, intrinsic capacity, and the impacts of climate change, alongside critical discussions of ethical considerations guiding research and translation. These additions are designed to expand the scope of discussion and catalyze novel interdisciplinary collaborations.
By convening diverse perspectives and expertise, this meeting aims to accelerate the translation of geroscience discoveries into meaningful health, policy, and societal impact across Canada.
