Our 2026 Conference will have the theme of Making Connections and will take place at the Inn at the Quay on the Fraser River in New Westminster, BC. Please join your CURAC colleagues and fellow university retirees for a program that will inspire us, teach us new things, and help us make connections to each other.

Welcome to the CURAC 2026 conference

Our 2026 conference will focus on connecting and will take place at the Inn at the Quay in New Westminster, British Columbia. Please join your CURAC colleagues and retired college colleagues for a program that will inspire us, teach us new things and help us connect with each other.

REGISTRATION FEES

We are extremely grateful to our sponsors because their support has allowed us to set the price of our early registration fees below the cost of catering.

Early bird rates are available until April 25, 2026:

  • Full conference: $250

  • Wednesday reception and Thursday banquet only: $150

  • Day sessions on Thursday and Friday only (no reception or banquet): $120

  • Remote presence via zoom for the AGM: $30

Regular conference rates are available from April 26, 2026:

  • Full conference: $290

  • Wednesday reception and Thursday banquet only: $170

  • Day sessions on Thursday and Friday only (no reception or banquet): $140

  • Remote presence via zoom for the AGM: $30

We are studying the virtual presence options for the full conference.

HOW TO REGISTER AND PAY

Please fill out the registration form to register for the conference. Please also select the registration (early, regular, single day, etc.) you want.

To pay your conference registration fee, please send a bank transfer to the SFU Retirees Association bank account at conference@sfura.ca. You will receive a personal confirmation email within 48 hours of sending your electronic transfer.

The electronic transfer is configured as an automatic deposit without the use of a security question and a password. Please include these important details in the comments section on the electronic transfer:

  • "CURAC Registration"

  • Your name, the name of the guest if applicable

  • Your email address

These details will allow SFURA to cross reference your electronic transfer payment when you register for the conference.

Payment for conference registration may also be made by cheque, payable to the Simon Fraser University Retirees Association, and mailed to SFURA Treasurer, Carl Schwarz, at the following address: SFU Retirees Association, Simon Fraser University, 8888 University Drive, Burnaby, BC, V5A 1S6.

SFURA is a non-profit community association and therefore does not charge value added taxes GST and PST.

SFURA will send you a payment confirmation by return email.

Refunds will only be made for cancellations made before May 10, 2026.

EARLY BIRD registration is from January 15 to April 25, 2026.

REGULAR registration takes place from April 26 to May 5, 2026.
