Welcome to the 2026 CURRE Symposium!

In-Person Participant Instructions for February 6, 2026

NOTE FOR PRESENTERS - Please read the Addendum provided to you within the Event Details via email. This was sent to the Primary Authors; please contact the Primary Author of your submission if you did not receive this Addendum, or email tmjackson@campbell.edu to receive a copy.

Event Location = Campbell University Oscar N. Harris Student Union (445 Leslie Campbell Ave. Lillington, NC 27546)

  • In-person attendees must park in the large parking lot behind the Convocation Center (56 Main Street, Buies Creek, NC 27506) and walk to the Student Union. Avoid parking in visitor spots at the Student Union, as it could result in a parking ticket.

  • The symposium will be in the 2nd floor Ballroom at the Student Union.

Event Details = In-person attendees should note the following:

  • All attendees should bring a device (phone or tablet) and headphones to view online posters and engage with virtual attendees during the event.

    • Free headphones will be offered to all attendees at the check-in table if needed.

    • Optional laptop stations will be available for attendees to view online posters and engage with virtual attendees.

  • Dress code for all attendees is business casual.  (Presenters are welcome to bring co-authors to the event.)

  • Resident/Fellows/Student Presenters - Arrive anytime between 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and come to the check-in table on the 2nd floor to receive your posters.

    • Primary Author Name and/or Poster Number must be provided at the check-in table to receive the correct poster. Presenters can search for their poster on the Presentations page to find their Poster Number (the same number is also listed in the Event Brochure emailed to Primary Authors on February 3, and in the Confirmation Letter emailed to Primary Authors on January 19).

    • Posters are yours to keep - residents/fellows/students must take their posters with them after the event concludes.

  • All attendees should wear a name tag. Handwritten name tags will be available at check-in, but attendees are encouraged to wear their hospital or Campbell badges.

  • Resident/Fellows/Student Presenters - After check-in, you will be directed to set up your poster in the designated location in the Ballroom.

    • Set-up will be in numerical order by Poster Number.

  • Resident/Fellows/Student Presenters - After poster set-up (or between 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.), you are welcome to eat, network, and socialize before the Opening Remarks and the People’s Choice judging competition at 5:00pm.

  • Judges - you may arrive anytime between 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. to network and dine.  The event will officially begin at 5:00 p.m.

  • Resident/Fellows/Student Presenters - Between 5:00pm - 6:30pm, you should stand by your poster to meet and converse with judges and attendees.

  • Between 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., all attendees should come here, to the Fourwaves event website, on their phone, tablet, or at a laptop station in the Ballroom to also engage with the virtual Presenters and Judges.

  • At 6:30 p.m., three Resident/Fellow project finalists (virtual or in person) will be announced and finalists will deliver live presentations in the Ballroom (any virtual finalists will deliver the presentation via Zoom, broadcast to the Ballroom). Voting instructions for the project finalists will be provided to everyone during this session.

    • Finalists will have 5 minutes each for their presentations and 2 minutes for Q&A from the audience.

  • The event will conclude at 7:15 p.m. with Presentation of Awards for all Category A - I Awards, Top 3 Student Awards, Resident Project Finalist Awards, and People’s Choice Award.

Virtual Participant Instructions

  • On the day of the event, go to the Homepage on this website (or CLICK HERE).  It will take you to the homepage for the CURRE Symposium.  Click “Access the Event” at the top of the homepage.

  • You will be taken to the live event dashboard.  Click “Join” for the Welcome & Opening Remarks Session at 5:00 p.m. This will redirect you to a Zoom link where opening remarks and instructions will be delivered.

  • After the Opening Remarks conclude, go back to the event dashboard and Click “Join” for the Poster Hall Presentations & Judging Competition SessionThis session will be used to determine the People’s Choice Award.

  • When you join the Poster Hall Presentation session, you can click on any posters to view, OR you can search for specific posters by Author or Title in the Search Bar at the top. PRESENTERS (residents/fellows/students) MUST SEARCH FOR AND SELECT THEIR OWN POSTERS at the beginning of the Poster Hall Presentation session, and be available at their virtual posters for judges and attendees to request conversation. (If Presenters are not engaged in conversation with any attendees by 5:25, they are welcome to leave their posters to view other virtual posters.)

    • When you select a poster to view, you will have the option to "Join Conversation" at the bottom of the screen. This will allow you to chat with the Presenter/Author.

    • When you select a poster to view, you will also have the option to "View Presentation" in the top right corner. When you click on "View Presentation," you will have access to see the abstract, poster, and video presentation. Here, you can "Upvote" the poster if you want to make the Presenter/Author eligible for the People's Choice Award. All attendees (presenters, judges, and guests) can "Upvote" as many posters as the like during this session.

  • The Poster Hall Presentation Session concludes at 6:30 p.m.  At that time, all attendees will lose access to this session.  Attendees must transition to the next session by going to the event dashboard and clicking “Join” for the Project Finalists Announcement & Final Presentations Session at 6:30 p.m..  This will redirect attendees to the same Zoom link from earlier.

    • The top 3 resident project finalists will be announced, and they will present their research to all attendees during the 6:30 p.m. session.  All attendees will have access to vote on the top 3 project finalist presentations during this session.  Voting instructions will be provided to everyone during this session.

    • Finalists will have 5 minutes each for their presentations and 2 minutes for Q&A from the audience.

  • The event will conclude at 7:15 p.m. with Presentation of Awards for all Category A - I Awards, Top 3 Student Awards, Resident Project Finalist Awards, and People’s Choice Award.
