Mining the Connections 2026
International Conference - Mining the Connections - June 2-4, 2026, Yamoussoukro
Following its successful editions in Québec (2022) and Marrakech (2024), the international conference Mining the Connections is set to return for an outstanding third edition from June 2 to 4, 2026, in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.
The Mining the Connections conference brings together a diverse range of stakeholders engaged with today’s mining challenges: academic researchers, representatives of non-governmental organizations, public decision-makers, private sector actors, and members of local and Indigenous communities living in mining areas. This diversity of perspectives enables open, constructive dialogue. Together, participants exchange ideas, debate issues, and co-develop solutions to the complex challenges posed by contemporary mining activities.
The 2026 edition of the conference will focus on the central theme of mining in the face of today’s global challenges, including conflict, peace, energy transition, community development, climate, and the environment.
