Conference venue
ESF 2026 will take place at the Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel, a beachfront conference hotel in Srebreno, on the Dubrovnik Riviera.
The hotel is located between Dubrovnik Airport and the city of Dubrovnik, with conference facilities, restaurants and accommodation available in one location. Dubrovnik Airport is approximately 11 km from the hotel. Visit the official hotel website.

Accommodation
Please note that accommodation is not included in the registration fee. Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own stay.
A limited number of rooms may be available at the Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera Hotel. Additional accommodation can be found in the nearby areas of Srebreno, Mlini and Kupari, many of which are within walking distance or a short journey from the venue.
We recommend booking as early as possible.
Getting to the venue
The closest airport is Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport (DBV).
The most convenient way to travel directly from the airport to the venue is by taxi or a pre-booked private transfer. The Sheraton does not operate its own airport shuttle.
Dubrovnik Airport also provides information about the official airport shuttle and Libertas public bus services. Routes and schedules may change, so please check the latest information before travelling.
Dubrovnik has international coach connections with several cities across the region:
Bosnia and Herzegovina: regular connections from Mostar and Sarajevo.
Montenegro: connections from Herceg Novi, Kotor and Podgorica.
Serbia: connections from Belgrade and Novi Sad.
International buses arrive at Dubrovnik’s Main Bus Station in Gruž. From there, continue to the conference venue in Srebreno by local bus or taxi.
Routes and departure times may change outside the summer season, so participants should check availability for their exact travel date before booking. Border crossings can also extend journey times, and passengers must carry valid travel documents.
The conference venue is located in Srebreno, south of Dubrovnik and directly accessible from the D8 coastal road.

Participants arriving from northern or central Croatia can travel towards Dubrovnik via the A1 motorway, the Pelješac Bridge and the D8 coastal road.
If you are driving from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia or Montenegro, your journey will include one or more international border crossings. Carry valid travel documents and allow additional time for border controls, particularly when planning your return journey.
The hotel lists on-site parking for its guests. Participants staying elsewhere should contact the hotel in advance to confirm conference-day parking availability and any applicable conditions.
Getting around
The venue is located outside Dubrovnik’s Old Town. Local buses connect Srebreno with Dubrovnik, Cavtat and surrounding communities.
Libertas line 10, operating between Dubrovnik and Cavtat, serves the Srebreno area. Timetables are subject to change, so check the current schedule before setting out.
Taxis and ride-hailing services are also available throughout the area.

Dubrovnik is also the birthplace of Ruđer Josip Bošković, the eighteenth-century scientist, mathematician, astronomer and philosopher after whom the Ruđer Bošković Institute is named.
