HiRO Symposium 2021
Welcome to the 5th Annual HIRO Symposium 2021, going VIRTUAL
This annual educational conference brings together specialists in cardiomyopathies and inherited arrhythmias, allied health professionals and patients from across Canada to identify ways to improve the care and management of families affected by inherited heart rhythm conditions.
The Hearts in Rhythm Organization (HiRO) is a national network of Canadian researchers/clinicians, working towards a better understanding of the genetic causes of cardiomyopathies, inherited heart rhythm disorders and sudden cardiac death (SCD). Canadian adult and pediatric electrophysiology centres across Canada work together to gather data and bio sample in a national data registry and bio bank hoping to improve the detection and treatment of cardiomyopathies and inherited heart rhythm disorders.
The 5th HIRO symposium will revolve around three main themes this year:
- Diagnosis of inherited heart disease;
- Patient centered care;
- AED/CPR - Where do we stand in 2021.
