The 5th Transatlantic ECI GPCR Symposium will include a variety of sessions to connect, inspire, and guide ECIs, and trainees. There will be prizes for best oral presentations and best poster!

Abstracts of ECI presentations and posters can be found in the abstract booklet (coming soon).

Keynotes

I: Prof. Ben Myers - Unconventional GPCR Signaling in the hedgehog pathway and beyond

II: Prof. Antonella di Pizio - Exploring the landscape of chemosensory GPCRs in the era of AI

Short Talk Sessions

During these sessions, Early Career Investigators will have the chance to present their work to all attendees in short oral presentations. The oral presentations have been selected from the submitted abstracts, and are going to be very exciting! Sessions in the following areas are planned:

→ I: Cell Signaling (Signaling Partners & Membrane Environment)
→ II: AI and Web-Resources in Pharmacology
→ III: Innovative Methods & Technologies
→ IV: Computational Approaches in Drug Discovery
→ V: Cell Signaling (Subcellular Signaling & Regulation)
→ VI: Structural Insights

Career Paths in GPCR Research

The career panels will address different career paths for researchers studying GPCRs. One session will focus on academic research and the other will be focused on research in industry.

For the Meet Academia-Session on day 1, we have four fantastic panelists joining us: our two keynote speakers Dr. Ben Myers (University of Utah, USA) and Dr. Antonella di Pizio (Technical University Munich, Germany), as well as Dr. Raphael S. Haider (University of Nottingham, UK) and Dr. Makaía Papasergi-Scott (University of Rochester, USA)!

For the Meet the Industry-Session on day 2, we have three exciting panelists joining us: Dr. Aurélien Rizk (CSO of InterAx Biotech), Dr. Hannah Stoveken Lum (Principal Scientist at Bristol Myers Squibb) and Dr. Alpay Seven (Director of Structural Biology at Deep Apple Therapeutics)!

These sessions are meant to be interactive and insightful for ECIs from graduate students to junior faculty/staff and will provide attendees with an opportunity to engage with established and junior leaders from both academic and industrial career paths in GPCR research. All attendees will have the chance to submit questions to the panelists during the panel discussion which will then be discussed live.

Poster sessions

Finally, the symposium will include two poster discussion sessions giving as many ECIs as possible the chance to present their work.
Posters are uploaded to the Fourwaves platform from which they will be available for logged in attendees before and throughout the meeting. This platform also allows to contact the poster presenter directly.

During the poster sessions attendees will be able to visit individual posters and interact directly with the presenters on the virtual platform.

All even numbers will present on the first day of the symposium and all odd numbers on the second day.
