IAML 2027 Toronto

Welcome to the 2027 Congress of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives, and Documentation Centres (IAML), hosted by the Canadian Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (CAML).

Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that for thousands of years that the land on which IAML 2027 meets has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful for the land upon which we are privileged to gather, work, and create.

Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit. This territory is also part of the Dish With One Spoon Wampum, a formal agreement between the Anishinaabeg, Mississaugas, and Haudenosaunee, to share the territory and protect the land and waters of the region. Subsequent Indigenous Nations and peoples, settlers, and all newcomers, have been invited into this treaty in the spirit of peace, friendship and respect.
