Overview of General Information
Before you proceed, please ensure you have the following information on hand for easy access/copying/pasting.
Full names, email addresses, and affiliations for every author of each abstract you submit.
A Word document containing your written abstract(s) in the following format. Each abstract can be no more than 350 words total. Please ensure the document is submitted in size 12, Times New Roman font with regular spacing throughout.
You will need this document on hand in order to fill in the various sections of the abstract submission form. The various sections required for every abstract submission are as follows:

If you are submitting a symposium abstract on behalf of your whole group, you will need the above-mentioned information for each abstract of said symposium. More information on symposium submissions can be found below.
All abstracts and presentations must be written and presented at Congress in English.
Pre-Congress Workshops - Sponsorship/Funding Required
Workshops are scheduled for May 28, 2027
Please add your workshop proposal in the Main abstract section of the submission site.
Symposia Presentations - Overview
Symposia are 90 minutes in duration and typically include 2 - 4 presentations. Please plan your submission based on a 20-25 minute time frame per presentation (more or less, depending on the total number of presentations in your symposium).
As part of the symposium abstract submission process, the submitter will provide an overview of the various presentations therein and what the overall presentation will address. This is approximately 350 words in the “Full Symposium Abstract” section.
The submitter will also submit 2-4 additional abstracts for each individual presentation in their symposium. This is required in order for symposia to be considered.
You may include images and tables with your abstract, but they are not required and will not be featured in the abstract book.
Additionally, international collaboration is strongly encouraged.
Free/Oral Communication Presentations- Overview
Free/Oral Communication Presentations are approximately 10-12 minutes in duration.
Abstracts can be up to 350 words.

Poster Presentations- Overview
Poster presentations are done in sessions where you will stand near your poster at the designated time to present and answer questions about your work.

Generic drug names may be used, but commercial (product, brand) drug names are not allowed anywhere in the presentation.
Authors may be allowed to modify their abstracts until the abstract submission deadline at the discretion of the review committee. No further edits will be permitted after the deadline.
Authors may select their presentation type preference, but the Scientific Committee will make the final decision after review. For example, a symposium submission and the abstracts therein may be invited as a free/oral communication if it is not accepted as a symposium.
Abstracts received after the above deadlines will not be considered for review.
It is the author's responsibility to submit an abstract that is fully edited and without errors in grammar or spelling. Any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author in the abstract book.
Acknowledgment of the receipt of abstract submission will be sent to the Submitting Author's e-mail address.

We would love for you to join IPA and membership is strongly encouraged. However, being an IPA member is not required to submit an abstract though it is important to keep in mind, when it comes time to register!
Unfortunately, without all of the abstracts in a symposium, we will not be able to adequately review your submission. You are required to submit all abstracts for your symposium submission.
Yes, you will be able to modify your abstract after submission if needed. However, after the due date has passed, edits will not be permitted. To make edits, send your request to info@ipa-online.org
After your abstract has been submitted and accepted, the next step is to confirm you attendance at Congress by registering. Please keep in mind, all presentation are in person. Once you have confirmed you attendance, you will be fit into the schedule based on your presentation's topic of interest and grouped with others of similar topics. There is no guarantee that you will present on the day/time of your preference.

Yes, you can still submit. If your presenting author changes, please notify us via email. However, please know that we need one main person to contact per abstract in order to consider if for final programming.
