Diverse Perspectives, Shared Ecosystems: Queer, BIPOC, and Ally Gathering (Pre-Registration Required)
Join us for an afternoon of connection, conversation, and community before the conference begins. This gathering supports our shared commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful conference environment where meaningful connections can be built, collaboration can flourish, and diverse perspectives and knowledge systems are recognized, valued, and celebrated. We’ll start with brief roundtable introductions to get to know one another, followed by a visit to the Ulster Museum to explore exhibits, including Global Inclusive Histories, Aquatic Invasive Species, and others. We’ll then continue the conversation over light appetizers at a local restaurant, providing a relaxed opportunity to build connections before the conference officially gets underway. Date: Sunday, August 23 Time: 14:00 Location: Meet at the Queen’s University Belfast Peter Froggatt Centre Foyer: https://maps.app.goo.gl/rcQ23rNrh1SAvLie8 Cost: Complimentary (light afternoon tea provided) Whether you’re looking to meet new colleagues, share experiences, or simply enjoy an afternoon of meaningful conversation, we hope you’ll join us. We kindly ask that you register in advance to ensure there are enough refreshments and appetizers for the group; however, we will do our best to accommodate walk-in registrations.
