International Congress on Safe Sport Research

On behalf of our Scientific Committee, it is a great pleasure to officially announce that the 2nd International Congress on Safe Sport Research will be held from April 7 to 9, 2027 at Campus Sint-Andries of Thomas More in Antwerp (Belgium).

We are planning an exciting program with speakers and sessions representing the importance of conducting research to guide the creation of safe sport environments for all. This international research-based congress therefore launches a structuring, unique and important initiative for the research community working worldwide on various aspects of safe sport. We hope that this event will not only bring our research community together, but also provide a forum for sharing the fruits of their important sport-related research.

The first edition of the International Congress on Safe Sport Research took place from June 18 to 20, 2025 in Québec City and brought together more than 240 participants from over 19 countries, including researchers, students, and representatives from the sports community. The congress offered a rich and varied program with plenary lectures by internationally renowned researchers, thematic sessions, and numerous opportunities for exchange and collaboration. The program included a pre-congress, scientific presentations, poster presentations, panel discussions, and a joint sports activity. In addition, there were various networking opportunities where participants could share ideas and experiences, culminating in an atmospheric closing dinner.

With the second edition in Antwerp, we want to once again create an inspiring congress where researchers and practitioners can come together to share knowledge, develop new insights and contribute to a safe sports environment for everyone.
