Abstract Topics
Abstracts in the following categories are encouraged for submission:
Cancer-related lymphoedema
Children LIMPRINT
Children with lymphoedema
Complex chronic oedema case studies including chronic wounds
Compression across lymphoedema and wound care
Diabetic foot and lymphoedema
Genital oedema
Imaging diagnostics including assessment strategies
International education
LIMPRINT driving global improvement in care delivery
Lipoedema
National frameworks and other community organisation initiatives
Outcome measures for lymphoedema
Patient collaboration and support
Prevention of pressure ulcers
Psychosocial and qualitative research
Self-management (self efficacy)
Venous leg ulcers: state of the art
The Scientific Committee will review all abstracts submitted.
Abstract Guidelines
These guidelines and conditions are implemented to assist with a clear and concise format, to facilitate the Scientific Committee in the assessment process.
It is recognised that some papers may not fit the suggested structure exactly, so some flexibility will be taken into consideration. Please aim to include one or two key references and where appropriate include results (even if preliminary).

The maximum word count limit is 400 words.
Please include full author name and place of work / affiliation address.
Please ensure that the email address submitted is correct, as this email address will be used to communicate acceptance or rejection.
Abstract Conditions
Abstract Category
The ILF Scientific Committee will be responsible for designating abstracts submitted for either poster or oral presentations. Abstracts are required for both intended categories.
Publication
Accepted abstracts will be published on the Conference Website and the ILF Member Access Area post Conference.
Withdrawal of Abstracts
Withdrawal of abstracts will only be accepted if requested in writing and confirmed by the Scientific Committee. It is only possible to withdraw an abstract within 14 days of the notification of acceptance. Please request withdrawal by contacting conference@lymph.org
Presenting Author
The presenting author must register for Full Registration to be eligible for submission.
Author Responsibility
It is the responsibility of all authors that all studies performed respect the national legislation, international legislation and ethical guidelines. The Scientific Committee reserve the right to reject any submitted abstract that is believed to violate these principles.
Trials in Progress
Trials in progress are welcomed in the form of abstracts describing the protocol of on-going research and in the form of completed trials ready for publication. However, abstracts describing a trial which has not
Abstracts submitted by Patients
Patients or patient associations are welcome to submit abstracts for free paper or poster presentations. All abstracts, no matter the status / profession of the submitter, will be marked and reviewed on scientific merit.

The ILF provides a supportive conference environment for graduate students, lymphedema clinicians, and researchers. We encourage both new and experienced presenters to submit an abstract that showcases work being done in lymphedema research or clinical practice. Submissions are not limited to research-based abstracts. If you have a special interest in a relevant topic or have a special case study, we encourage you to submit and share your work with your colleagues.
