The Student Poster Session is one of the highlights of Innovation Day and provides an excellent forum for students to present their work in an interactive setting. This session aims at stimulating student participation and at providing the Innovation Day participants with the ability to connect with one another and discuss the work and innovation presented.

Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit abstracts on their proposed poster. The abstract and poster should be relevant to Innovation Day; that is, they should showcase research innovation and/or commercialization potential.

Each poster will be evaluated by a panel of 3 or 4 judges from academia and industry, based on the statement of the problem, the proposed solution, understanding of the innovation and the student’s ability to communicate the poster content with the judges.

Awards will be given to the top poster presenters during the awards session at 3 pm.

1^st prize - $500.00

2^nd prize - $250.00

3^rd prize - $100.00

Honorable mention (3) - $50.00

To participate in the Student Poster Session: student presenters must register for Innovation Day via the Registration page and submit an abstract by completing the Poster Abstract Submission form.

Space is limited, so please submit your abstract as soon as possible.

Deadline for poster submission: September 16, 2024, 5 pm

Poster Presentation Logistics

· The poster session will be held on the Youngstown State University campus, during lunch from 12 - 2 pm.

· Upon arrival, please visit the registration desk for information on where to display your poster.

· Poster size is 36” x 48”. Easels, foam boards, and clips will be available.

· Poster setup should occur between 10 am - 12 pm, and takedown should occur before 5 pm.
