This event brings together a Public Event focused on the prevention of cognitive decline associated with aging and dementia and a Scientific Day dedicated to advancing knowledge and fostering interdisciplinary dialogue on ketometabolic therapies among members of the scientific, clinical, and healthcare communities.

The Public Event is intended for everyone, from leading scientists and healthcare professionals to the general public.

The presentations will focus on metabolic health, brain health and Alzheimer’s disease prevention.

The 5th edition of Keto-Celebration will bring together distinguished speakers from the local, national, and international scientific and clinical communities. This day promises to foster insightful discussions and knowledge exchange on the application of ketogenic therapies, as well as topics related to improving metabolic brain health.

**New - Virtual attendance now available
It is now possible to register to attend the Scientific Day virtually. The registration fee remains the same whether you attend in person or online.
Participants registered for virtual attendance will receive the connection link the day before the event.
Keynote Speakers
Matt is the Director of Neurology at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, New Zealand. He completed his neurology training, followed by a neurophysiology fellowship, in Adelaide and Melbourne, Australia. Although his clinical interests include neuromuscular, movement, and functional neurological disorders, Matt’s foremost research passion is exploring the potential feasibility, tolerability, and potential clinical benefit of ketogenic metabolic strategies for people with neurodegenerative and neuro-oncological disorders. His team conducted the world’s first randomized trials of a ketogenic diet in both Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease, and published the first reports of metabolic therapy in Huntington’s disease and ALS. He is currently investigating the impact of intensive multimodal ketogenic metabolic therapy in patients with IDH-wildtype glioblastoma.

The venue is located in downtown Sherbrooke and is easily accessible by car, taxi, or public transportation. Parking options are available nearby
Getting Around Sherbrooke
The OTL is located approximately 5 km from the QG de l’entrepreneuriat.
While it is possible to walk there via a multi-use pedestrian and cycling path that follows the river for much of the route (about a 1-hour walk), there are several other transportation options available:
Public transit is also an option and takes approximately 20-25 minutes. The fare is $4, and exact change in cash is required. For more information: Société de transport de Sherbrooke (STS)
As well, taxis or ride-sharing services such as Uber are available and are generally faster (about 15 minutes).

Travel Between Montreal and Sherbrooke
The nearest airport to Sherbrooke is Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL), located in Montreal.

Take the 747 bus directly from the airport to the final stop at Berri-UQAM (Berri/René-Lévesque). From there, walk approximately 10 minutes to the intercity bus terminal. Then take a Limocar bus to Sherbrooke. Once in Sherbrooke, you will need to use public transit or a taxi to reach your hotel.
The 747 fare can be purchased directly at the airport.
