3rd International Workshop on Lead-Free Perovskite Solar Cells

October 22-23, 2025

Over the past decade, perovskite solar cells have taken the renewable energy world by storm, achieving record-breaking efficiencies above 26% and edging closer to commercialization. But a critical challenge remains: the best-performing devices rely on lead, raising environmental concerns that could slow their path to market.

The search for sustainable alternatives is more urgent than ever. Tin has emerged as the most promising lead-free candidate, boasting strong optoelectronic properties. Yet, unlocking its true potential means overcoming barriers such as tin oxidation and energy band mismatch—challenges that call for collaborative breakthroughs.

That’s where the International Workshop on Lead-Free Perovskite Solar Cells comes in. This annual event brings together the global research community to:

Exchange cutting-edge ideas
Build cross-border collaborations
Showcase recent advances in tin and other lead-free perovskite technologies

The workshop is tailored for professors and senior researchers to share insights and forecast future trends, while also offering junior scientists and students a stage to present findings, connect with peers, and explore career opportunities.

Best of all, the workshop is online and free of charge—making it accessible to leaders in remote locations and students with limited budgets.
