29th Annual McGill Pain Day

Welcome to the event website for the 29th Annual McGill Pain Day. We are excited to bring Tor Wager to this year's event as our plenary speaker.

Dr. Tor Wager is the Diana L. Taylor Distinguished Professor in Neuroscience at Dartmouth College, and the Director of Dartmouth’s Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience laboratory, the Dartmouth Brain Imaging Center, and the Dartmouth Center for Cognitive Neuroscience.

Pain Day's format will be familiar to past attendees: Dr. Wager will lead a trainee workshop to start things off, then there will be trainee poster session, followed by Tor's plenary talk. The poster session will be judged by AECRP researchers and clinicians, with a first prize of $750 and a second prize of $500, in each of two categories: basic science and human/clinical science.

The deadline to enter the trainee poster competition is Monday, January 13th at 17:00. Please see the Poster Abstract Submission page to upload your poster abstract and other information.

This will be an in-person event only. To register to attend, please see the Meeting Registration page to complete the process. You will need to do so by 5pm on Friday, January 17th, as we need to finalize logistical support soon thereafter.

McGill Pain Day is organized by the Alan Edwards Centre for Research on Pain and the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit (MUHC). It is a day for networking and scientific exchange between Health Care Professionals and Trainees engaged in the treatment and study of pain

We would like to thank the Louise and Alan Edwards Foundation for their on-going support of Pain Day over these many years.
