Organizers
Meet the Organizing Committee!

Natalie Reznikov is an Assistant professor at McGill University researching biomineralization - a study of structure-function relationships, formation and biomechanics of bone, teeth, eggshells, and mollusk shells. She uses a wide variety of 3D imaging tools such as X-ray-based and electron microscopes, and advanced 3D digital image processing
Raynald Gauvin is full Professor at McGill University, Montréal, Canada and a Henry Birks Chair in Metallurgy. His research interests are in developing new methods to characterize the microstructure of materials using high resolution scanning electron microscopy with x-ray microanalysis and Monte Carlo simulations.

Meet the Scientific Advisory Board!
Nadi Braidy is professor in the Department of Chemical and Biotechnological Engineering at Université de Sherbrooke. He is a specialist in nanomaterials synthesis and characterization, in particular transmission electron microscopy.
Gilles L'Esperance is a Professor of Materials Engineering in the Department of Mathematical and Industrial Engineering at Polytechnique Montreal. He is the director of the Centre for Characterization and Microscopy of Materials, and his research interests are in analytical electron microscopy.
Jose Moran-Mirabal is a Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology and Director of the Centre for Advanced Light Microscopy at McMaster University. He is an expert in biomaterials chemistry, 3D bioprinting, advanced tissue models, and characterization through high resolution light microscopy techniques. He is also CEO of Tessella Biosciences, a startup devoted to commercialize advanced bioinks for 3D bioprinting, tissue biomimetics, and regenerative medicine applications
Audrey Moores is a Professor of Chemistry and Tier II Canada Research Chair in green chemistry at McGill University. She is a leading expert in the field of catalysis using metal, metal oxide and biomass-based nanomaterials, with a special emphasis on sustainable processes and use of earth abundant starting materials.

Natalie Zeytuni is an Assistant Professor at McGill University specializing in structural microbiology, with a research program focused on bacterial secretion systems, surface structures, and polymicrobial biofilms in the context of human disease. Her lab integrates cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, and molecular microbiology to uncover the molecular mechanisms of bacterial pathogenicity.
