Cape Breton University Programming Competition Instructions
Key Updates:
· Registration Deadline: The deadline to submit team registrations (by emailing acpcprogramming2025@gmail.com) is Tuesday, October 1st, at 11:00 PM. Please ensure you contact us via the provided email address before the deadline.
· Briefing: The briefing for the competition will begin at 12:30 PM on Friday, October 17th. Location will be announced later.
· Printed Materials: Each team is allowed to bring up to 25 printed pages, and every member (maximum of three students) may have an identical copy of the 25 pages.
· Network Monitoring: Network activities will be closely monitored to ensure compliance with competition rules.
· Teams are strictly prohibited from using any pre-existing code or files on their personal laptops. All solutions and code must be developed from scratch during the competition.
· The use of AI or non-AI code assistance tools, such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT, will result in the disqualification of the team.

Problem Details:
- Problems are designed with a single correct answer for any given input.
- Sample input/output data will be provided in the problem statement and as downloadable files.
For Coaches/Faculty:
- The maximum number of students per team is 3.
- To register a team in the competition, email the following information to acpcprogramming2025@gmail.com
- Email the following information to register a team:
1. Name of the team
2. Name of each student on the team
3. Email address of each student (associated with their Kattis account; students without an account should create one at https://open.kattis.com )
4. Confirmation that all team members are registered for the conference

- Each team can bring up to 25 printed pages. Team members are allowed to have three identical copies of the 25 printed pages.
- Each team is allowed to print a maximum of 30 pages during the competition.
Food Policy:
- No food or drink is allowed in the competition area.
- If needed, food or drink can be consumed outside the room in the hallway.
