Gnawa Music Performance
The sacred rhythms of Gnawa music - born in the heart of Morocco, shaped by centuries of spiritual healing and ancestral wisdom - will weave their magic through the halls of N2 Conference. On December 17th, from 8:30 to 10:00, two masters of this mystical tradition will guide us through a transcendent journey.
Maâlam Mohamed Koyo, a guardian of Gnawa's ancient secrets, brings forth the hypnotic pulse of the guembri, an instrument that speak the language of ancestors through its three strings. His deep understanding of the tradition's sacred repertoire has earned him recognition as one of Morocco's most respected Gnawa masters.
Joining him is Abel Damoussi, whose innovative spirit bridges the ancient and modern. His masterful interpretations honor the tradition while opening new pathways for Gnawa's evolution in contemporary times. Together, Maâlem Koyo and Abdel will demonstrate how the healing power of Gnawa music continues to resonate across generations.
