Welcome!

Residents are invited to the Northern Ontario Community Concierge and Connection Event on Friday, October 23 at the Valhalla Hotel and Conference Centre from 6pm to 9pm in Thunder Bay.

Community representatives from across Northern Ontario will be gathered to give you time to explore opportunities and compare communities.

You can speak directly with representatives about:

• Electives and other training opportunities

• Locum and future practice opportunities

• Areas of physician need

• Mentorship, onboarding, and the transition into practice

• Financial incentives and other available supports

• Housing, relocation, and support for partners and families

• What it is like to live and work in different parts of Northern Ontario

You can reconnect with communities where you have trained, meet representatives from places you have not yet experienced, and make contacts that may be useful as you plan your next stage of training or transition into practice.

The evening also provides time to connect with residents from other programs and training sites, meet NOSM U undergraduate medical learners, and share your own experience of training across Northern Ontario.
