Art in Science contest
We are excited to announce we will be introducing the OCIB Art in Science contest this year! We know you have an artistic side and we want to see it!
Rules for Participating
The art submitted must relate to this year's theme, Networks in Nature, to your research, or to the Carleton-Ottawa Institute.
Art must be submitted in photograph form so that it can be shared/displayed during the symposium but it can be any form of art!
Examples include:
images taken during fieldwork/lab work/around campus (Carleton or uOttawa)
original paintings/sketches/drawings
sculpture/clay
knitwear/fiber art
any things else you can think of :)
All art must be your own. Original works. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains. The photo must not infringe upon a trademark, copyright, or intellectual rights.
For consent purposes, the only people that can appear in photos is you.
Each participant is allowed to submit only one piece of art.
You are free to edit your images to improve its technical quality (brightness, sharpness, etc.) but nothing that changes the integrity of the photo.
Images that are inappropriate for any reason will not be included in the photo contest.
